Serves 2β3 people (about 10β12 wraps)
π What you need
For the beef:
- 300g beef strips (sirloin or rump)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp cornflour
- Salt & pepper
- Oil for frying
For the pecan glaze:
- 2 tbsp pecan paste
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp ginger (optional)
- ΒΌ cup water
To serve:
- 10β12 large lettuce leaves (cos or iceberg)
- 1 carrot, julienned
- Β½ cup shredded red cabbage
- Spring onions
- Sesame seeds
- Lime wedges
π³ How to make it
1. Prep the beef
Toss beef with soy sauce, cornflour, salt & pepper.
2. Cook the beef
Sear in a hot pan for 2β3 minutes until browned.
Remove and set aside.
3. Make the pecan glaze
In the same pan, add:
- pecan paste
- soy sauce
- honey
- garlic
- ginger
- water
Stir until smooth and glossy.
4. Coat the beef
Add beef back in and toss until sticky and coated.
π You want it glossy and slightly caramelised.
5. Build your wraps (this is the fun part)
In each lettuce leaf, add:
- spoon of warm pecan beef
- carrot + cabbage
- spring onions
- sprinkle sesame seeds
Finish with a squeeze of lime.

- Add chilli for heat
- Add crushed pecans for crunch
- Drizzle a little extra pecan glaze on top
